As we enter the coldest months of the year, indoor venues can expect to be buzzing with patrons looking for comfort food and drinks. While your menus must be exceptional to draw in the 'it' crowd. But to truly stand out in the age of Instagram, you must pay special attention to your interiors. We've rounded up 5 of London's most Instagrammable hospitality venues that sell themselves thanks to their Instagram-worthy photo ops. We suggest you take notes!
The Gallery room at Sketch started taking over our Instagram feeds a few years back. The millennial pink dining room designed by India Magdavi was the perfect backdrop for a scroll-stopping Instagram post; in our opinion, it still is. However, when you visit the famed Gallery, you’ll notice the venue has replaced hues of candy pink with shades of gold and copper. Instead of David Shrigley's sketches, you can marvel at 13 works by Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare on champagne-coloured walls. The Gallery might be the most popular room, but when you visit, check out the less photographed yet equally Instagrammable rooms: The Parlour, The Lecture Room and The Glade.
Yes, it is a members-only club, so not any Tom Dick or Harry can enjoy the wonders of this space. But we would be amiss not to include Annabel’s on our list. Martin Brudnizki is the designer behind the eccentric and surreal motifs that adorn the opulent interiors of this prestigious venue. Every detail inside is an Instagram post waiting to happen. We must mention the rose-coloured powder room with pink onyx shell-shaped sinks and gold swan taps beneath a pink silk ceiling—a visual feast for the eyes and the Instagram feeds.
If you can’t get into Anabel’s but still want to see Martin Brudnizki’s work, try The Ivy Chelsea Garden Restaurant - the smart new outpost of The Ivy in West End. The bar and restaurant manage to give vintage luxury while still feeling laid back and cosy. If it’s not too cold, you can sit in the garden and revel in the botanical paradise outside.
For a hit of Traditional British architecture mixed with a little Dubai glamour, head straight to The Winter Garden at The Landmark London. Its centrepiece is a stunning eight-storey glass atrium brimming with lush greenery and flooded with natural light. Imagine the sound of a grand piano nestled among 9ft tall palm trees. As day turns to night, stunning lighting design brings an extra level of enchantment. Your grid will thank you.
Jacuzzi is the latest restaurant from the Parisian hospitality empire Big Mamma Group. Jacuzzi might be their most major venue yet, known for their extravagant restaurants found all over every influencer’s Instagram feed. With a botanical-style mezzanine, a retractable glass ceiling and glitter ball toilets, there is absolutely no shortage of selfie opportunities for guests.
I hope this round-up has served as some inspiration for your venues. Get in touch if you need a hand showcasing your interiors and building buzz that will have customers falling over themselves to get a booking at your hot spot! If you’d like more information, get in touch.
